Lost at Sea
I find myself more lost than I have ever been before
My navigation system must’ve fallen overboard
Though I’ve been sailing for a lifetime now
I never reach the shore
And all my signals of distress in vain—
my flares have been ignored.
I haven’t seen another vessel in a hundred years
The sea is growing deeper from my constant stream of tears
The waves becoming icebergs from the coldness of my fear
And even if I found a way to die
No one would find me here
I don’t know where I lost my crew— or if I ever had one
The only warmth to my soul is the overbearing sun
When night falls I could freeze to death if it were just that easy
And the thought of one more day like this
no longer does appease me
I don’t know where I’m going or where I’m supposed to be
My soul just wanders aimlessly completely lost at sea
I don’t know what I must’ve done to earn this destiny
And the more I try to find myself
The further out I’ll be
My navigation system must’ve fallen overboard
Though I’ve been sailing for a lifetime now
I never reach the shore
And all my signals of distress in vain—
my flares have been ignored.
I haven’t seen another vessel in a hundred years
The sea is growing deeper from my constant stream of tears
The waves becoming icebergs from the coldness of my fear
And even if I found a way to die
No one would find me here
I don’t know where I lost my crew— or if I ever had one
The only warmth to my soul is the overbearing sun
When night falls I could freeze to death if it were just that easy
And the thought of one more day like this

I don’t know where I’m going or where I’m supposed to be
